I am not an elaborate cake decorator, but i do enjoy trying to create something fun for my kids' birthdays. Because i notoriously run out of time i tried to be more organized this time. I made the cake yesterday and froze it. Can i frost it while frozen or do i need to thaw it first? It's for tonight. It's just a one-layered cake...cause i ran out of butter and didn't have time to run to the store for more. How's that for organized! :-S
I have decorated a frozen cake before but be careful using colors in some Buttercream icings..The color can run or droplet from the condensation...I doubt that will happen but with black,red or even royal blue there is always a chance.
