How Do I Put Pearl Dust On Ri?

So I want to attempt painting pearl dust on RI flowers. On the container it says to mix with a bit of lemon extract, but I've read on here that people use vodka? I'm just wondering which is better or does it matter? Thanks.

The higher the alcohol content, the better.... I use clear vanilla because I don't keep vodka in the house and because I don't like the lemon flavor on the cake.... but if you have vodka, I think that's supposed to be the best.

Vodka, in my opinion is preferable simply because it evaporates quickly without leaving a residual taste. You can use any clear flavoring however, as long as it has a good alcohol content. People usually use the lemon because I believe it has more alcohol than most other flavorings.
