This isn't figure making... but while we're adding youtube vid links, this helped me covering a ganached cake in fondant... I was always getting cracks on the top of the cake, until I used their 'seal at the top' method. if you're a newbie... might be of help, too. They also have a bow making one on their as well. I'll put that link up too.
