I agree with most of what's been said above. I did notice yesterday when I got the Mailbox News that there was a new Editor for ACD... honestly, I don't even know if I still have a current subscription with them, it's been so darn long since I saw one!! icon_eek.gif

I think I'm just going to basically do nothing, and when I'm at the ICES convention where they usually have a booth, I'll see where my subscription stands and decide if I want to give them another chance. I did enjoy the mag when it actually came...

Frankly, with the new CC mag, I'm very content, so I may not renew my ACD in August. Guess I'll just see how I feel then.

WOW, this is eye opening. My aunt got me a subscription for my birthday in January and I haven' received anything yet...I called the company yesterday and they said it shipped and I should have it any day now. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath on that. What a bummer, I'll suggest cake central next year...thanks for the heads up everyone!

I'm having the same problems - no issues. My daughter gave me a subscription in July and I had to make several calls to get my first issue - Nov/Dec - received in January. Haven't seen the Feb/Mar issue yet. I'm so fed up!

OK, I did my part! I just filed a complaint with the BBB regarding Grace McNamara, Inc. It only took 5 minutes so I would like to encourage anyone who is having problems with their subscription to do the same.

Hopefully, it will either encourage them to clean up their act.

I talked with someone in customer service last week about a "missing" magazine and he was very helpful and kind.

According to him, the Jan/Feb issue was supposed to have gotten out in mid Feb (I think I missed it because of the massive snow we had here) and the next issue will be out during the last week in April.

Most magazine subscriptions take 6-10 weeks to start getting to you when you first subscribe.

Bonnie, I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with you. My subscription was purchased in July and Nov/Dec was the first issue they sent me. I received it in January. There was no January issue. Feb/Mar was scheduled for mid March delivery - no show for me.

I will agree with you on their customer service. Always kind and polite. But the follow through is lacking. I know the CSRs are only doing their jobs (and well) so I don't take it out on them but somewhere in the management something is afowl. There are too many people with the same complaint for it to be a fluke!

Deah - I wasn't trying to be contradictory... just stating my experience....

I'm sorry Bonnie, I really didn't mean to sound ugly. That wasn't my intention. I sincerely apologize if I offended you.

it's all good - I just wanted to clarify. I guess we're both trying to be extra careful not to offend, huh?

Any mag that ships its Feb/March issue in the middle of March is crap. I mean, a Feb/March issue should arrive mid to end January.

Anyway, that wasn't really my point. Don't waste your dough on ACD. Crap company and late issues and plenty of missing issues.

Got my Mailbox News last week, notice new editor, but did not notice any changes. Waiting on ACD, they just posted on their website it should be in the mailbox soon. Cover looks great , let's hope makeover will work for it and lets hope they will fix their problems by the end of this year.

So, I filed a BBB complaint a few weeks ago. I haven't heard any reply back but today my Feb/Mar showed up in my mailbox. Funny how that happened!

I just got my Feb/Mar issue and it is the end of April!! I also paid for a Mailbox News subscription a year ago and never received an issue. Must be the same editor.
