THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE! I could have never done it without all your support and answering all my questions.
Elise, THANKS for the tips. I drove instead and followed your instructions. I looked for the soft foam (ones you mentioned) that I put under the cake as a padding so when it hits a bump or a dip, it does hit hard. I also used the foam and plastic bags as side padding. I did however travel the 5 tiers assembled since the lattice border were floating and there was no way I can transport in individually without breaking.
THANKS again!
Congratulations, Rylan! You do amazing work!!!
Let us know when you start giving classes -- I'd make the drive any day!
Continued best wishes -- and love your website, too.

Hey RY,
I missed you haven't seen you on here in a while, but now I can see why you have been busy,That is an,amazing, gorgeous fabulous cake keep up the amazing work. and again CONGRATS.
Rylan, your cake is so clean. Great Job!
In one of your post you talked about some kind of padding under the cake for traveling. Can you tell me what you used?
TIA
Tammy
Thanks you so much girls/guys.
Tammy, the foam is just a plain mattress-like foam. On my other cake, I just used tons of scrunched up plastic bags and then I put the cake on top. It find those helpful when there are a lot of bumps and dips on the road.
Thank you Rylan.
I need to make a 4 hour drive next week to deliver a cake, so if you have any other tips to help me out, please send them this way.
Tammy
Hi Tammy,
Just make sure that the cake doesn't keep sliding because that will be your number one enemy. Oh and make sure the cake doesn't sit directly on sunlight--maybe put in it a box or so. If it is possible, try to travel it unstacked--it's just safer that way.
Good luck, Tammy.
