I use them in my favorite white cake recipe in addition to half of the vanilla called for in the recipe. Be careful with the florals - they are strong. Start with no more than 1/2 teaspoon and adjust from there. Same with frosting - use in addition to some vanilla. Lavender is also good mixed with mint - both are strong flavors, though - mix lightly icon_lol.gif .

ibmoser, thanks for the help. While in Australia recently I went to a lavender farm where they made lavender scones with fresh lavender,(they were delish). I'm going to try that also with the extract. thanks again icon_biggrin.gif

AIbmoser, I am wanting to try lavender bc frosting. I normally use 1tsp vanilla. How do you suggest I adjust my recipe ...1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. lavender ?
