Hi everyone!

Forgive me if this is a repeat question, but here goes. Would anyone be willing to give some instruction on how to do a gift box cake? I'd like to do one with the lid off where it looks like fondant(assuming) looks like tissue paper. I'd like to learn both ways. I tried looking for it, but had no luck. All help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sharon Zambito (Sugarshack) has a great instructional DVD - Boxes and Bows. In the DVD she shows you how to make several different types of boxes. It is worth every penny.

I LOVE Sharon's videos.... also check out A PinkCakeBox on YouTube.... it is a shoe box tutorial, but I used this technique on gift box cake. The lid can be made with styrofoam and covered with fondant. Personally, I would make the tissue paper from fondant/gumpaste...rolled thin...Place it on something to create the desired form and allow to dry...HTH
