Can anyone give me instructions on how to make the following cakes:

Basinette

Baby Sweater & Bootie (cake)

I've been looking in the gallery and seen some beautiful cakes. TIA icon_smile.gif

If you've been through the gallery, pm the people that made that cake, they are most probably more than happy to help. If not, link a couple of the cakes that you liked, so everyone knows what you're looking for.

I can't help with the basinette or sweater/bootie but I have made blocks before. I made mine from sheet cakes, and cut out 4" squares Then I stack and fill as a normal cake, but to make a "cube" you need at least three to four layers (depending on how high each layer is). Then I crumbcoat once, and refrigerate. Then after that's set, I either cover with fondant or more icing. HTH!
