I was asked to make a cake similar to the attahced cake.
The problem i have is instead of white fondant they are wanting chocolate ganache as the icing.
The base cake to be covered in dark chocolate ganache and the heart in maybe milk chocolate ganache. Do you think there will be enough difference in colour between the two chocolate ganaches.
(i think white chocolate ganache is not an option because she wants to use white flowers and the ganache would through a cream colouring)
She is also wanting blue ribbon instead of the brown!
Do you think this will work? Any suggestions?
yeah i think it would, ive seen alot of chocolate cakes recently, with constrasting tiers of light,dark,white, and vice versa, i think it would give it a nice touch with the white flowers too, really make it pop! i think just making sure you use the best chocolate possible for the ganache to get the best colour from it is the key
So can anyone tell me if they have used both dark chocolate ganache and milk chocolate ganache on different tiers and how they contrast.
