I will be making a doll cake for my daughter's 1st Birthday. I know I can use a Barbie, but what other doll could I use? I want something that looks more like a little girl. Kelly doll? What have you used? What would you recommend?

Hi Heather,

Welcome to CC...enjoy icon_biggrin.gif

You can use any Barbie size doll. I have several dolls in my photos and love doing them thumbs_up.gif .

I recently made a doll cake and I used a regular doll. I did have to make the whole in the cake a little bigger but it was awesome. The cake turned out nice I used the wilton doll cake pan and a round cake under her the same size to make her gown longer than I placed a sheet cake next to her so it looked like the train of her dress. It was a bridal shower cake and I made a bride doll. It turned out nice. I was happy with it.
