my DH's mother used to make a yellow cake. poked holes in the layers with a fork and poured chocolate over the layers so that it went down thru the layers. I have tried for 6 years to replicate this and i never seem to get it right. i've tried melting chocolate icing down to soupy consistance, melting choclate syrup to the same consistancy. poking holes with fork and with a straw, but the chocollate syrup doesn't go down thru the layers, just stays on the top of the layer . any ideas to try????? he said it was dark so maybe cocoa? what would i mix it with?
thanks!
Are you sure that your Mom didn't use instant fudge pudding. ![]()
