Im doing a cake for my Physical therapist son, and she was asking about fillings and I blurted out "well you could do most any flavor, even crushed candy in the middle" with out really thinking. How or could I even do this? I would think so right? maybe just sprinkle crushed snickers over a chocolate fudge filling.. hmm any help?
Many thanks
I think peppermint sticks ground up and stirred into buttercream would make a yummy filling. You could use a blender for that. But I would assume if it's like snickers, I would use a knife to chop it up.
mmm.....Milky Way in a chocolate caramel buttercream....I have no recipe for it but doesn't it sound good? LOL!!!
I did a wedding cake with Snickers chunks a while back. I just used a sharp knife and cut them into pieces and then filled the cake with BC and then sprinkled the candy bar pieces on top and did that for every layer. It was very yummy and got rave reviews. I love adding candy pieces to fillings! Peanut butter butterfinger.....YUM!
I've used chopped candy bars.....filling with my caramel and fudge filling, then chopped Snickers....brown sugar SMBC.....yummy!
