hi all, i am about to attempt to make my first pair of baby fondant converse shoes and was wondering how you do the laces do you lace them like real shoes? or is there some other method of doing this?

I just made a pair this week, came out pretty cute but the laces were the hardest part. I used my clay gun to make the laces but there was no way that I could get the laces thru the holes so I just laid a piece across the top and smoothed each end of the lace into the hole so it looked like they were thru the holes. Next time to make them more realistic, I will also put a piece of the lace under each of the top pieces so it really looks like they are laced up. HTH and maybe someone has a better idea
