I got an email today from a potential client enquiring about 2 birthday cakes for her kids.
She wants a treasure chest cake to serve 8 kids..... yes, EIGHT!!
And a Thomas the tank engine cake to serve.....wait for it.....FOUR!!

Made me laugh and shake my head in despair at the same time. What do people think?

I get this all the time.."Can you make a cake for 8-10 people"? So I got fed up and put a cake minimum on my site of at least 20 people or $40.00..I do not make cakes for 8 people..Some think that just because they want it for less people the cost will be less.Idiots!!

I told her that my minimum for 'shaped' cakes is $100. And that she might like to think about cupcakes!

It'll be interesting to see if I hear from her again.

I get that a lot and I basically offer to do mini cakes...but they still have to pay my min. amount. Do what works best for you. HTH
