has anyone tried the Apple cake from Martha Stewarts wedding cakes book? Or any other good suggestions for an apple spice cake?
I had made the one in the confetti cakes for kids book a couple of times with good success. Now I have made it 3 times where it would bake nicely for the first 3/4 of the time, then sink right before it's done. I guess I am done with that recipe.
Try a German Apple Cake recipe from Allrecipes.com . I have a good one (too lazy to go look it up right now 
) but have not tried it in a layer cake yet as I usually make it in a bundt cake and then pour brown sugar glaze over the top. (its awesome!) Anyway the German Apple cake recipes are great, just find the one with the highest rating and try it out. Mmm!

I did try the Martha stewart cake. The flavor is delicious...but mine turned out very moist...maybe a little too moist? I don't know.
