I had one of those moments the other day when I realized I spend way too much time on here.
The other day at work we had one of our employees let go. And he had to be escorted out by police in handcuffs. We all know that means one thing. Theft. So of course we were all talking about it. One other lady I work with mentioned her theory as to why he did it. She said she heard him talking a while back about how his fiance wants him to get her a $20,000 ring. So he must have been nervous about that. (Yeah right I'm thinking)
The first thought that popped into my head was "Yeah, she wants a $20,000 ring, but will probably want to spend $100 MAX on the cake!"

I met some folks that I will consider friends for life on the 2009 Cakecruise, and most of them are CCers.
My friends and family look at me weird everytime I start a sentence with "On CakeCentral dot com........" and believe me, I start A LOT of sentences that way-lol! Or when I call someone my "cake friend" - funny!!

At least once or twice a week something will pop up in conversation with my hubby (even if it isn't cake related) and I will say "oh so and so from the cake site was just saying...."
I just wish conventions and cake shows weren't on, ummmm Saturdays. When wedding cakes are due.

Yup Mondays are great for me, since my Salon is also closed that day!
Well at least I know I'm not the only one that feels that way. 
And I think it would be great to all meet eventually. Now as far as a Sunday convention, hmmm. AT best, you can go the last day of a convention.

Just today I was telling co-workers about something I learned of via cakecentral. Only as I began my story I quickly wondered how I was going to say "so I found out on a message board cricuts were going on sale over the weekend" yada yada. Decided I'd leave that part out and said "A friend told me about the cricut going on sale" lol Sooo, guess ya'll have become friends!

The Ultimate Cake Off on TLC where Sharon Zambito was a member of Rebecca's team. I was jumping up and down and pointing to her on the tv and saying "Theres Sharon, Look at Sharon!" like she was my best friend in the whole wide world. I almost cried when they lost to Norm.
My hubby thinks im weird, I just call myself cakey instead of quirky.
Hello Echooo3. I'm over here in Kissimmee till June. Please please tell me where i can get cake supplies. I couldn't bring mine. (crying here) No room in the trailer hubby had to bring the motorcycle. Now a friend wants a bd cake for sunday. But fas for the hubby he did get me the wiltons 101 cake kit, thanks to another cc'er posting the 60% off coupon. lol
I guess I'm guilty, too. But the funny thing is my family just accepts that my CC friends are friends. My whole family was interested in why indydebi was closing her business and glad she was staying on the site to help the rest of us with her knowledge. I guess we're all internet fanatics, at our house.

Jesters is in Kissimmee/Orlando area on Orange Blossom Trail, they will be the closest for you, however, D&G Occassions on 50 in downtown Orlando is the bomb. D&G will have anything/EVERYTHING you are looking for. Sometimes Jesters is hit or miss. Also, Jesters is not that clean and their stock is all over the place. D&G is very organized but be cafeful there, you can spend a mint wanting all the gadgets.
I do the same thing. I am always telling my sister... so and so said this today and she goes who????? You have to understand that we live together and work together. I now have her addicted to this site. Every morning (at work), I have to sign in to check what's new. I told her when the powers that be call me in and say that they are firing me because of the amount of time I spend on CC, I will bow my head and quietly go.
