How Would I Do This Supersaurus?

How would I go about making this cake. I pm'd the jamiemonster but no reply. My son wants a supersaurus for his birthday cake and this fits to a tee.

I would make the body out of cake and the neck/head out of RKT for stability, with a long dowel running through the middle of the entire neck anchored to the board.
