I am looking for ideas for a snake cake for my 4 yr old nephew. Any ideas?

Hi Danni (I love that name.... it's my daughters name too!).... If you bake a couple of regular bundt cakes you can cut them in half and form a snake by placing them end to end and use a small round cake to carve a head out of. Then you just ice away in snake colors that appeal to you.

I saw a neat recipe one time where they made 2 bundt cakes, cut them in half and pieced them together to look like S's It was frosted green w/orange triangles down the back....very cute

Hi Danni

I saw a great snake cake at The Cake Store http://www.securecakestore.com/acatalog/copy_of_Snake.html, I believe this was done with two different size ring or bundt pans and a small wonder mold for head. There is also one in the gallery if you do a gallery search for snake, it was done by traci.

Thxs for all the great ideas. I have to make the cake for Oct 1st. There will be 3 b-day parties that day. I will post the pictures when they are done.
