Red Velvet Cake - First Time Trying It

So for the food coloring, do I use the regular food coloring that I would use to die easter eggs or would I use the paste that I use for my icings.

I would think they would be completely different, but I don't know which I am supposed to use.

I just made chef stephs red velvet cake and used the liquid food coloring that use to color eggs. It turned out amazing!!!

Yes, the liquid. I do the same as mamafox.
