Please Help With "chicken Skin" Texture

I am making a roasted chicken cake and need help on the best way to make chicken skin texture, any ideas would be great. I also need to do broccoli as well so any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

i recall Ace of Cakes doing a tur-duck-en, but don't remember the specifics ... maybe you can look that up?

I thought they used a piece of screen to make the skin???something like that wasn't it?
