I have a bunch of small, rectangular cakes leftover from another project. They aren't pound cake, just made from box cake mix. My question is, is it possible to make petit fours with them? I've never made peteit fours before. From what I'm reading it looks like you need to use pound cake.

Thanks!

You can still use them, freeze them first so they won't be as soft. I wouldn't try to fill them, just do the poured fondant on them. (and you may want to cut them a little bigger too)
