2010 Vday Cake Contest - What Cutter Is This?

My SIL loves this cake (see below link) - it is a cake currently in the 2010 V-Day contest. My question is what cutter is used for the black fondant decorations? I would ask the person who submitted it, but they are not listed yet...

Makes a great hounds tooth effect. Almost looks like a xmas star.
It looks like it started out as a square and then a "Lips" cookie cutter was used to cut off the four corners at an angle, leaving the star-like shape that we see now... but maybe I'm way off base.

wow, would have not thought about that till you described it. I think you are right on the dot.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't one of the Patchwork Cutters have that design?
Oh no! I didn't get any emails saying anyone responded!
I am going to try the square & lips cutter tonight! I think that is the trick to this look.
