Serving Size Variations... Designer Books (??)

I am going by the Wilton size chart, very comfortable with this. However, I noticed that both Collette and Elisa Straus' serving sizes are much larger than Wilton. Is this because they can afford to give away more cake?? Seriously, I guess this confused me... icon_confused.gif Preference?

The serving charts in both books stated that a 6" round cake served ONLY six... curious why so large?

Well I'm guessing Collette and Elisa charge enough for their cake they are covering the bigger pieces. We can hope right?

For some naive reason, I thought the celebs would also go by the 1x2x4... Maybe I'm lazy and don't like to do the math. icon_wink.gif I guess it just comes down to preference, profit, cost, etc...
