I am fixing to open my own bakery soon and I am just wondering what kind of icing should I use. I have been using wiltons buttercream recipe for years and I really love it but I am just curious about how long can I leave it sitting out. Also, is this a good recipe to use in a bakery or should i use another type of icing? Thanks for any advise!
I'm not sure it's a good idea to go thru the expense of opening a bakery if you aren't confident in what ingredients to use yet.
Different icings have different ingredient and labor costs, which should be part of your business plan.
Any icing is good to use in a bakery, if that's what made you a success and it's what your customers like.
I have confidence myself with the icing that I use and I have never had a complaint on it..... I guess i am just letting my nerves kick in.
