Need Ideas For A Cake! Please Help!

Hi there, I'm trying to think of a design for a cake, something sophisticated and elegant, its for a friend's birthday, I have no idea on colors yet, but look for anyone to just chip in and post a cake thats sophisticated and elegant that they really like, design or color dont matter, just want something for a good friend of mines. Thanks! 
Hi, an idea is find out the colors, Ske like and what's her Hobby, Music, Book, Movie or Flower. Then go to Gallery and see what ideas you can get. Good luck

My favorite cakes that I find simple and elegant are the ones with the damask print on them (stenciled in royal icing)
thanks...i'm just too tired to look over thousands of pictures...I have school, work then come home to take care of a 8 month old...I just wish I had the time, not that I'm lazy...thats why I just wonder if any of you have any cakes in your favorite photos that you all like to share
I know how that is, I work full time, have a 3 year old, and a 4 month old, my husband works at night on the weekends so he sleeps most of the day on F,SA,SU. Here are a couple I have in my favs that I think are fun and sophisticated, it just depends on how "fancy" you want it.

Sometimes it just takes other people's eyes/suggestions. Any other info would be helpful though

Good ones Dandelion. Does anyone know if there is a limit on favorite photos...some of mine have disappeared!!
I don't think there's a limit but CC has been terrible the past year of the photos jumping around. like you're on one pg click on the next & some you've already viewed are there again. Plus, they've gotten rid of some that were duplicates
