How Do I Stack A 4 Tier Cake?

I will be doing a 4 tier present cake and don't have a clue on how to stack the cakes without having them slide apart can someone help please.

you will need to put 4 small dowels in the bottom tier of the cake, then put the next tier on top of it and put 4 dowels in it, do the same for the 3rd tier and put the top tier on. you don't need to put dowels in that tier but you will want to put a longer dowel through the whole cake. hope this helps, if you have more questions let me know.

Also, each tier must be on cardboard.

And when you go to put the longer wooen dowel through the whole cake, sharpen the end to a point, and then twist and push to get it through the cardboard between the layers...

I usually use a hammer and "gently" (lol) tap the larger center dowel through the whole cake so it easily goes through the cardboard.

There are pictures in my SPS tutorial of me sacking a three tier cake. If you use SPS it will be really easy. And sturdy.
