I found this cute cookie on a websie and just fell in love with it. I've also seen others. Do you think the initial applied is done by freehand or is it done with RI on some type of clear paper laid over a inital pattern, then attached to the top of the cookie after it has dried?

I'm going to say it was piped directly onto the cookie because of the thin lines, they would break too easily if you tried to move it. The monogram is very uniform, so the decorator may have used a Kopycake projector to project the pattern onto the cookie.

it looks to me like it's done right on the cookie, too.
