Finally taking the machine out of the box and reading everything, looking at the tutorial and reading some cricut things on here. When it asks what kind of "media". what is fondant/gumpaste considered? Does anyone use a silhouette and not the cricut? Thanks for any help.

I do have the SD, but I had packed it away when I had overnight guests way before the holidays and never dragged it back out icon_redface.gif I just finished a few simple monograms, so maybe I remember a bit about the basics. I tried straight gumpaste and 50/50 fondant/gumpaste today - Satin Ice brand. I actually liked the 50/50 better. The media that I had the best luck with was writing paper 24-70. I used speed 2, and thickness 5. I am using a bare blade with no "color cap" at all - just locking the blade housing in the holder. I had good, clean cuts on paste rolled to #5 with the KA pasta roller. Now to work on importing images......
