Hi to anyone who can help me. What is the difference between lustre dust and pearl dust powders. I want to paint fondant and royal icing pieces so they look like gold. Can someone help me with this? I have gold pearl dust and even if I keep it on the thick side, it still doesn't look like gold. What can/should I use? TIA.

If you have gold pearl dust, is it Wilton's verson? To me that is actually luster dust.

Pearl dusts are normally pearlized in color, white with some hints of color.

There are many different gold colors out there, are you looking for a bright yellowy gold or a duller yellow? Maybe someone here can point out which color you are looking for.
