I have a LARGE styrofoam cake order in April and a Bridal show next month. I make MMF for cakes. In these cases, I dont' want to spend hours laboring over MMF, so I've opted to purchase fondant.

I realize that most of you will say "Buy Wilton!" however, it's $15-$25 to buy 5lbs of it in my area. Satin ice is $50 for 20lbs. Unless Wilton makes bulk quantities of their fondant, I think Satin Ice is the way to go.

Any suggestions?

I use Satin Ice when I purchase it. It has always worked well for me and it tastes good too icon_smile.gif

I use Wilton for Dummy cakes. I'd never put it on a cake that is eaten. I always hope for a 40% off coupon for JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby or Michaels. icon_smile.gif

i use coupons for michaels, acmoore and joanns. to buy wilton for my dummy cakes..
