Shiny Effect

How would you suggest to get a new car shiny effect? I read on here people use a spraygun...but i dont have one of those and i have to finish it tonight...any suggestions?

I have seen people use fondant and take a paint brush and brush on vanilla extract. That made her item shiny.

It's pretty much impossible to help you without knowing what you're covering the cake with.

If you are covering the cake with fondant brush on luster dust (dry works well). If it is buttercream you may be out of luck. Brushing it would leave brush marks. I have coated a dry brush with luster dust and while holding it close to the cake blown on the brush. It gives a slight sparkle but not an even coat. Good luck and not forget to share your image.

i am covering the cake in buttercream...its a 69 impala...i dont have experience w/ fondant yet... thanks!

Hmmm...I was gonna say spray a little Pam on it, but I'm not sure how that would work with bc....I know it works on fondant. Good luck! icon_wink.gif
