Love this one but not sure how to go about the lid etc, any ideas?

Hi, I think the middle of the cake is cut and taken out. Then covered in chocolate paste. For the lid, use the cake tin that you used to make the cake. Turn it upside down. Roll some gumpaste and if you want the lid to be like the one in the photo (textured look), used textured rolling pin. Then dust the turned tin with lot of cornstarch and cover it with the rolled gumpaste. And you have to cut around the excess gumpaste to look like a lid. Let it dry maybe 24 hrs. Then unmold it slowly and let it dry completely. Learnt this method from Sugarshack. But if you want to see how its done, then you have to buy her DVD.
