I was wondering if the WASC recipe I see all over this site would happen to be a white cake? My MIL would like a white cake with white buttercream frosting and I was trying to find a good recipe. Any suggestions?

If you are looking for a scratch white cake recipe, this one is really great. I have tried a ton of recipes and this is the one I have settled on as my go-to recipe. Its moist and has a nice tender crumb. You can sub in various things for parts of the sour cream or milk to get something different.

I love WASC if you don't care if it's scratch or not. This is an extender recipe so you add ingredients to box mixes. It's dense and moist and very easy to work with. It's white if you use white cake mix, but I have used all different flavors!
