so im making my own birthday cake and there is this image i want to use.. i have the directions for frozen buttercream transfer but i was wondering if i could just the same thing more or less with color flow to make it smoother and glossy? or is it going to be too big and brittle to handle to tansfer to an 8 in cake?? so am i better off with buttercream or color flow?thanks in advance? ![]()
you can do a colour flow to put on a cake no probs
Are you doing buttercream of fondant cake? If it's buttercream i would probably suggest it be a crusting buttercream so the image will last longer, i havn't tried it on a non crusting cake so not sure about that.
Anyhoo here is the one I did with a flooded RI piece and as you can see you can get good detail with doing it:

Just make sure you give it about 2 days to dry completely
Is the image going to take up the whole 8" cake?
