Cake Recipes: Ingredients By Tin Size?
Decorating By Elise87 Updated 29 Dec 2009 , 3:24am by Elise87
I have a cake decorating book that has a few recipes that have a chart down the bottom that tell me the amounts I need of each ingreident listed for each specific tin size from 5" to 12" round and square which i think is fantastic!
I was just wondering does anyone out there know of an internet site or other recipe books out there that have the same thing but with more recipes?
Hi Elise, I have that book and agree it is fantastic!
I have been on the look out for something similar but so far haven't found it - I keep meaning to set up a spreadsheet that I can enter in the formulas and convert any new recipes I find but as yet it's still on my to do list ![]()
Hope someone else can help, I'd love to know if there is something out there!
i am gonna go check yours out too lol
Havn't tried all the recipes in mine but pretty much it has:
Rich fruit cake
Light fruit cake
maderia cake
glace fruit cake
classic sponge
genoise sponge
coconut cake
carrot cake
chocolate cake
chocolate mud cake
and it's by Murdoch books
HEY! look what i found
http://www.exclusivelyfood.com.au/2006/07/white-chocolate-mud-cake-recipe.html
which links to:
http://www.exclusivelyfood.com.au/tables/white-mud-cake-variations.pdf
and if you go to this index and go through and find the cakes as you scroll down in the recipes of most of them there should be a link in blue where you can get the tin size varations for those too!
