Oh no, what a PITA!! Can you go to the bank tomorrow and get a new one? Or withdraw money the old fashion way. Yikes, I would have been a total basket case if that was me.

Yeah, will be at the bank first thing in the morning and withdrawing some money the old-fashion way. icon_lol.gif We'll be ordering a new as well, but that will take a while to get mailed to us. I'm just thinking of what little got melted today refreezing. When we went to the store there was a some puddles of water. An hour later when we came out, they were frozen over!

LaBella, what was snow is now ice. That "pretty" powder from yesterday is white ice. Ick!

Hey, did everyone's kids have school. The district I live closed school today, the district I work in has a delayed opening.

Ha ha ha, My kids' last day of school before break was Friday anyway, so they didn't even get any free days off because of this! They feel cheated.

Hi, everyone. Thought I'd give you all an update. We are doing well. We briefly had electricity in our town and went back yesterday to stay in a rental property that we own but the power went out again around 9 PM. We had a propane heater so we stayed until this morning and then came back to the same hotel. We picked up our pet, thank God she was fine. I am going to buy one of those tabletop trees for the kids and we will have our Christmas here. We are so blessed to be able to afford to just pick up and go to a hotel. So many of the people in our area can't. And as long as we are safe, warm & not hungry we have everything to be thankful for.

summernoelle - God love your heart! I lived in Colorado Springs briefly and I know the winter's there were horrible. Glad to see that you made it through your adventure safely and (hopefully) in one piece.

misserica - Only 18 inches? icon_lol.gif Just kidding! I hope it's melting off by now.

LaBella - AEP still says 11PM on Dec. 25th. We were hoping they would get it on sooner but looks like that won't happen.

Oh, misserica, I missed your post about it all turning to ice. I'm so sorry! I hope everyone stays safe on the roads. We actually passed a guy today driving his truck and watching football at the same time! Somehow, I am still surprised by the level of ignorance so prevelant in our society today.

juleebug- I am glad to hear your family is able to make the best of an otherwise crummy situation!

Costume- the kids in the district I live in got off again today, dont know if they will make them go in tomorrow because it was a half day to begin with. The kick in the butt is the district I work in had a full day today no delay or anything ha.

Merry Christmas to everyone!!

Everyone enjoy your snow. I'm in Burlington, VT. We got a total of 0.00 inches. That's it. Nil. None. Zero. We feel seriously cheated. We want snow up here!!!!!
