I'm using red satin ice for a bow and it looks really dull. How do I brighten it up and make it look more like fondant. I'm only able to get red, gold and silver pearl dust...Should I use and edible varnish?TIA

I have never tried this, but I read on the site that you can use confectionery glaze.

Confectionary glaze? Never heard of it? What is it?

"Delivers shine and protective properties to sugar, chocolate and confectionery items.
Glaze can be applied by spray, brush or coating pan."
That is what a website says, but I have never tried this...
