Cream-Filled Strawberries?

They aren't really 'candy'....but i want to experiment a bit for a Christmas dinner coming up.

I want to fill strawberries with some kind of cream...need a suggestion of what might work/taste best. I was thinking a concoction of bavarian creme mixed with whipped cream?

These would then be dipped in chocolate.

thanks for any suggestions, hints on how to pull this off! icon_smile.gif

You could also try cream cheese for the filling. Just take out the core with a small knife and fill with a pipping bag. And make sure the berries are dry before dipping them in chocolate. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

I use the same filling I like to use for cakes; mix 16 oz heavy whipping cream with one box instant cheesecake pudding.. mix to stiff peaks... oh would I love one of these now... yum yum.. icon_biggrin.gif

I buy the tub of cheesecake filling, makes tons and is ready to go.

I use this recipe, with mascarpone cheese, heavy whipping cream, sugar and vanilla.
