Motorized Cake Anyone?

Hi all,

Haven't been on in awhile but I just got a request for a "crazy" cake. The birthday (man) boy loves trains and I was toying with challenging myself and trying to incorporate some moving parts. I thought I'd pick your brains if possible!

I've seen cakes that incorporate a real train but I'd like to make as much as possible edible (including the train cars). Does anyone have any ideas/thoughts? Any engineers out there? icon_smile.gif

Hmm, thinking using real flatbed train cars and small narrow cakes on top, or using a remote control car base, board on top of it and the cake on top of that shaped like a train.

Thanks, TJ. I was thinking of the flatbed train cars too with fondant cars on top. Any ideas on how to make it move on a "track" though? This might be way to much to bite off but I feel like there's a solution out there...
