its so hard to get mm fondant brown w/o making it chocolate. any tricks or tips??

I usually use chocolate, but you could try putting a tiny bit of black colouring in along with your brown. That might darken it somewhat.

Do you think adding brown food coloring might do the trick? I usually use chocolate fondant on mines.

I've never been able to get brown fondant without adding cocoa and chocolate chips myself...brown food colouring just makes it go a beige colouricon_sad.gif

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear with my answer. I meant powdered brown food coloring--that way it doesn't change the texture.

If you add enough brown coloring, it will turn to the actual brown and not beige--just like adding black to fondant.
