I Am A Math Dummy, Help With Dimensions Please

I need to do a 3D car cake, my last one sucked and I really want this one to be better. It is a corvette and dimensions I found online for the actual car are:

176" long
71 " wide
46 " tall

So, if I do the cake at 10% of this that would give me approx

18" long
7" wide
5" tall

The servings aren't a really big deal since I am putting it on top of a square cake but I would like it to feed about 20.

So, am I approaching this is the right way? Any insider tips in making this car look nice?

I ordered the DVD from Mike's Amazing Cakes but it doesn't look like it has been processed yet. I appreciate any help with this. Thanks! icon_smile.gif

Your math looks right, but how can you make a car that's only 1" wide?
