I made one of my husbands friends birthday cakes a few weeks ago....they liked it so much they asked hubby if I would make another one (undecorated) just covered in the chocolate frosting I had used before. I was wanting to do the cake tonight but I don't have a box or anything to put it in for hubby to take it to work tomorrow. I was going to just put it on a plate but I don't want all the icing to get pulled off by tin foil...any ideas?
Back before I got so fussy about what I put my cakes in, I used to stick toothpicks in the frosting and then make a loose tent of plastic wrap over the cake. The toothpicks hold the plastic wrap away from the frosting...leave them sticking out about halfway.
