Black Marshmallow Fondant?

what is the trick to making black fondant? I use marshmallow fondant. I have even started out with chocolate marshmallow fondant before.

I add the color to the melted marshmallows, before adding the sugar. It will darken a tiny bit overnight. Also, americolor's Super black seems to do the job better than wilton's black.

I've heard Americolor has a far better black.

With Wilton and white MMF... one time I worked it in and it looked great. The next time, it was gray. The next time, I airbrushed it icon_biggrin.gif haha!

If it wasn't for the airbrush, I was going to order some black Satin Ice for my next project with it. It would have been worth it.

I use Americolor too and just add drops into the fondant and knead it in. I've also used brown colored MMF then added black to it and it works just fine.
