Name Wash On Pics (Sorry... I Know It Has Been Asked Before)

I'm so.... sorry CCer's, I have been searching for the thread that explains how to put a wash on your pics and can't seem to find it.
I know we are all busy with our Thanksgiving dinners but if someone would be so kind to point me in the right direction, I would be eternaly greatful.

Do you mean watermarks? Where you put your name on your picture? Here is one thread, but if you search watermark it pulls up a bunch of them.

the easiest way to do it....(how I do it) is go to www.picnik.com and join for free and then you can upload your photos and crop them and so forth and add text...you can easily change the color and font as well as how transparent the letters are....VERY cool site!
