I was curious of any of you have consistently sold your products at Farmer's Markets or maybe local fairs. Have you had any good or bad experiences?

I started my first farmers market this past summer. While it was fun and interesting, it took a while for me to figure out what was going to sell. I started with decorated cookies and moved to whoopie pies and slices of apple pie along with small bags of undecorated (just a swirl of icing) cookies (the older folks loved the pie slices, parents seemed to love the whoopie pies, and the kids loved the small iced cookies). I went home a lot at the beginning with baskets of decorated cookies. icon_sad.gif The businesses in my town got lots of free cookies during that time though.

Anyway, another gal on CC has great success at her local farmers market. Her website is www.Posh-Pastries.com . Click on her blog and you will find posts and pictures about the market.

Do you have a local event you are thinking of selling at?
