So what are all the uses of the white food coloring? I know the obvious - to lighten colors. I have run across a few comment where people use it for other things / tricks. Just can't remember them.
Folks use it with Toba's glace icing for cookies. Otherwise, I have read the colors can get cloudy, etc. I also use for a truer white when the butter makes it yellowish....
You can paint with it on fondant when you need white details. Don't dilute it with anything, just paint it on full strength.
I was going to mention that you can use it to paint the highlights in the eyes of gumpaste figures. Like the PP mentioned, it's can be used for painting other white details onto your cake.
yeh i sometimes also mix it with some gel pastes to paint light pastel colours on objects or fondant and put it in to lighten my buttercream etc

I'm glad I read this! I was diluting it and it wasn't working! I thought I had too much coloring and not enough vodka! Thanks!
Wish I could take credit for it, but that's not mine - it was the post I quoted (from Texas Rose)!
Hello, where do you purchase white food coloring? I have not seen it anywhere.
Wilton makes some. So where ever you can find Wilton supplies. Any craft stores should have them.
