Food Coloring In A White Cake Mix

Has anyone ever made a white cake mix any color they wanted? does it still rise the same!
I want to make a blue cake for my friend!

I just made this from a white cake. You'll want to use paste or gel colors. The weak grocery store stuff will add too much liquid and not enough color.
I do this all the time. I'm trying to add a pic but don't know if it will work....It's Bright yellow, Hot pink and orange, my favorite combo!
Rainbow, Tye Dye, team colors, pink w/purple marbled in....they're all cool! I have more pics and instructions in my photos.
I did this checker board this last weekend. Everyone loved. No it doesnt change the way the cake bakes
