I was wondering, first, if it is possible to bake a cake in a glass bowl, and second, what adjustments in time and such would have to be made. I am making a baseball cap cake and do not as of yet have the sports ball cake pan, which seems to be the popular choice for baseball caps. So, I was thinking maybe I could do it in an oven safe glass bowl. Any ideas or input or suggestions would be extremely helpful. Thank you.

You can bake in oven safe bowl, simply bake at 325F and check the cake bit sooner then usual. I bake in glass bowls quite often.

Sure can. Like majka_ze said, just bake it a little lower, and keep an eye on it. I grease and flour my bowl just like I do my pans. That way nothing gets pulled apart when I invert it on a cooling rack.
