Just wondering,
I need to cover a cake with orange fondant. I have a tub of red and yellow, and plan to mix them, but I have heard about the red fading issue...
What can I do, to keep the orange orange?
I need harley davidson orange

The red shouldn't fade much unless it is left out in the light (direct or indirect sunlight). Just keep the fondant/cake in a dark place and it will be fine 
ps if you want your orange super vibrant you might even try adding in some orange gel paste to pump up the intensity.

If it does fade you can pick up a can or two of Wilton's color mist. It comes in Orange and coat the cake for an over all even color
