I am baking cupcakes by this recipe found on CC and they are great!!!:
1 devil's food cake mix-mixed according to pkg. and put into lined cupcake pans
Then mix:
3 ounces cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 egg, pinch salt, 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips.
The 1 tsp cream cheese mixture is dropped into the chocolate batter and baked.
With the cream cheese filling-baked-would this need refrigeration? TIA

Because even though regular cheesecakes are baked, they require refrigeration afterward...

Yes, but it's such a small amount of cream cheese and you're mixing it with sugar, then baking it in the cupcake (even though it's not actually mixed INTO the cupcake). I think it will be fine at room temp for a couple of days.
